Matt Palmer wrote Bachiana in 2021. It is the second of his compositions for the electric guitar published by Musica Canis Avem. Bachiana combines the tonal characteristics of the electric guitar with the harmony and intricacy of a classical composition.
Matt Palmer is a renowned and virtuosic classical guitarist. He tours regularly, performs widely, and is a prolific, critically acclaimed recording artist. Palmer has collaborated with many important composers to write new music for the guitar. He is the author of the book, The Virtuoso Guitarist.
Matt holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Arizona, where he studied with Thomas Patterson, David Russell, Odair Assad, and Sergio Assad.
